Homemade Butterilk Biscuits
We endeavor to not buy prepackeged store bought anything anymore. Those pop-open tubes of biscuit dough is not homemade. You can't unwrap it, heat it and call it homemade...Sorry doughboy. The biscuits are good, have a hardy flavor especially if you want to put sausage gravy over them😄. Just as good with just some butter in the middle served with breakfast or a dinner soup.
Ingredients
2 Cups all purpose flour (plus more for the board)
1/4 teaspoon baking soda

1 heaping tablespoon baking power
6 Tablespoons of butter
3/4 cup of buttermilk (about)
Combine the dry ingredients. Cut cold butter into chunks and then cut into flour mixture until well mixed with a pastry cutter. Pour in the buttermilk and mix with your hands it forms a moist dough. You may need to add just a little splash of buttermilk just make sure all the flour is mixed into a moist dough. Flour a working surface put the dough ball on it and flatten it. Sprinkle a little flour on top and on a rolling pin. Roll it out to about 3/4 inch thick. Cut it out with a biscuit cutter.... You can totally us a wineglass or something like that lol. Place on a baking sheet with parchment paper
Bake in a preheated 400 degree for 15 minutes.
